Granger Plastics Company, manufacturer of the Granger ISS In-ground Tornado Shelter, will exhibit at The Birmingham Home and Garden Show February 16-19 at the Birmingham Jefferson Civic Center. The show has over 230 vendors with several other features such as a tiny home village. Over 23,000 people are expected to attend over the four-day period. Many home improvement items will be featured, including storm shelters.

Tornado shelters are a survival product for protection from storms that have been known to destroy anything in their path including all types of buildings. There is a higher risk of damage being in a portable building, but any building without an underground shelter carries risk in the right storm. The Granger ISS was designed to be installed practically anywhere including outside of existing homes, in new construction or even added to existing structures.

Safety from tornadoes is the main purpose of this shelter, but there are several emergencies that the Granger ISS would provide a safe place during including other weather emergencies and home invasion scenarios.
