The keynote speaker at the forum, who is the Executive Director, Nigerian Association of SMEs, Eke Obiji, highlighted some of the opportunities available to the Nigerian SME market and the challenges that hinder the growth of the sector. Globally, SMEs are seen as engine rooms to economic growth and Nigeria is no exception. News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports. This is contained in the bank’s nine months financial results released by the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) in Lagos on Thursday. The results also indicated 33 per cent growth in gross earnings year-on-year to N365 billion from N275 billion in 2016, driven primarily by the strong performance on core revenue lines. Commenting on the bank’s performance, Mr Herbert Wigwe, the bank’s Group Managing Director said that strategies embarked upon between 2013 and 2017 contributed to the growth. The founder of the orphanage home, which is located in Zarazong Village in Jos East Local Government Council Area, said the event, which was a huge success according to her, would have been impossible but for MMM’s financial intervention. She used the occasion to call on public-spirited Nigerians and corporate bodies to extend their hands of fellowship to the orphanage. Elated by the event and the free sanitary pads given to her, Jessica Gomut, thanked the orphanage and its funding partner, MMM, for the timely intervention, saying " I won’t be buying pads anytime soon. That means I am going to save some money which will be used for something else.

He advised that the scorecard should be adopted and implemented as a national score card as it is going to track expenditure, allocation, how much is released and disbursed and transparency of the process among others. He said, "the basic healthcare provision fund is not yet captured in the national budget. The reason being that the government of the day is still not convinced that the health sector is ready to implement. Niger, Abia and Osun, so that Nigeria can learn from there. He said the GFF involves all the 36 states including the FCT. However, Nigeria has to start from somewhere and see the lessons it is learning. He said ,"the most important thing is to reduce impunity.

If it is reduces, anybody who is corrupt should be taught to do the proper thing. This is the basic concept of how we can move forward. Punish those who need to be punished and reward those we need to be rewarded and with that, you have more transparency and accountability. The three states have been chosen so that we can prove the concept of utilisation of the basic healthcare fund when it eventually comes. It is not just going to be used in the three states. Speaking while briefing Newsmen in Abuja yesterday, Dr Isegbe said the yam was not rejected and yam export to US had no issue, except that of the UK which was not cleared by officers of the NAQs. He assured that no matter the logistic challenge experienced by the exporter of yam to the UK,Nigeria is very determined and committed to yam export. Further lamenting the aging population of farmers Dr Isegbe said as a solution Nigeria has developed yam heap making machine to increase production. And encourage the youth to explore yam cultivation and production.

They said, although some cases of tuber spoilage were reported in both cases, these were separated from the good ones, and the good ones were distributed to the buyers. Quoting one of the exporters Mr. Michael Adedipe of ADES UK Foods and Drinks for the UK, Oyeleye said "Adedipe deplored the AIT report and other subsequent commentaries about rejection of his yams by the UK authorities". According to Adedipe, who confirmed that he spoke to AIT: "I’ve watched the (TV) programme which lasted for about two hours. All the positive stuff removed. We that decide to venture in this project are aware of the risks involved because, this fresh produce … we’ll expect five or 10 per cent damages. I don’t know why they said the product got rejected. I’ve sent my release note.

I’ve sent video of loading. On the spoilage of yam, Adedipe explained that "the failure has nothing to do with the ministry of agriculture, but the Nigerian Ports Authority. That’s where I see the failure. He expressed disgust at the mishandling of his comments by the AIT reporter, saying: "I told him, he is aware of it. He knew about the delay, I told him about all the consignment. He knew every single thing that happened. But what he did the most is to use all the negative stuff. We talked about other things. I told him how I came into the UK to go and fix our problem. Adedipe, who has vowed not to stop yam export business, disclosed that "the other mistake was the shipping line we used.

But they were the ones that were available." According to him, in spite of the sour experience with media report, "I’m willing to invest. Managing Director, Wan Nyikwagh Farms Nigeria Limited, Mr Yandev Amaabai, has strongly disputed the yam rejection story and said it doesn’t even tally. The story from AIT was focused on UK. So far, I am the only person who has lifted yam to the US. Whatever we can do to clarify this issue will be good. We learn as we progress. Our yams were released to us and we took them to the stores. We sorted out our yams when they got there. We distributed them to the off-takers.

The Society for the Performing Arts in Nigeria (SPAN) has announced its 2017 edition of SPANFEST, a weeklong festival and the society’s biggest activity for the year. The festival will showcase Nigeria artistes mixed up in an alchemy that will inspire audiences, invigorate artists, stimulate the industry and forge productive relationships around the globe.

It further directed its Committees on Population and Governmental Affairs to ensure implementation and report back in six weeks for further legislative action. It also mandated the Nigeria Insurance Association (NIA) to initiate enlightenment campaigns on the rights of the insured under the third party scheme. However, Hon. Francis Charles Uduyok and Hon. Joseph Edionwele jointly sponsored the motion on the need to enlighten motorists on taking advantage of the third party motor vehicle insurance scheme. They said as a result of the ignorance on the part of the insured, the insurance companies are raking in fortunes without paying compensation to their clients. Hon. Abubakar Kannike (APC, Kwara) said the motion is a wake-up call to investigate the monumental fraud in the insurance subsector and help Nigerians get value for third party insurance.

Mr Ibrahim Magu, the Acting Chairman of Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC), has called on Nigerians especially the media to join hands with the commission in the fight against corruption. Magu made the call while fielding questions from newsmen on Thursday in Abuja on the sideline of a preparatory meeting towards 2018 African Union (AU) conference. We appeal to the media to expose the corrupt. We want everybody to work with us, particularly the media, to fight corruption, that is the way to forge ahead. To move forward in the fight against corruption, we need to work together," he said. Magu assured that President Muhammadu Buhari-led admisnistation would not disappoint the rest of the world in its fight against corruption as he had demonstrated the political will to the cause.

The fact that this meeting is taking place is an indication that there is an effective political will to fight corruption and recognition of President Buhari’s commitment. The President had been identified as a leader and champion of anti-corruption in Africa, this attests to the fight that Nigeria is fighting against corruption. It emboldens our fight against corruption; it is encouraging, for the fact that the whole world recognised the President as an anti-corruption champion. You and I know that he is not kidding and there is no pretence in his will to fight against corruption, there is no doubt about that," he said.

Magu said that the commission would not also disappoint the rest of the world as they had recognised the President in the fight. They have come here, the African Union as our brothers and sisters. We will do everything possible to contribute positively in the fight as we keep telling you that corruption is the arch enemy of development in the world. So now, the African is saying that corruption is the worst enemy of the continent and we also appealing to you to expose the corrupt. It is not the media trial kind of thing that is the only way we can win the battle, you have to work with us to make us move forward," he said. Mr. Thomas Quartey, the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, also tasked the media to play a critical role in the fight against corruption the country.</del>

+

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Hearing in the civil action on alleged fundamental rights violation brought against the federal government at the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Court of Justice by the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was yesterday stalled due to the absence of the government lawyer in court.

The lead counsel to the Nigerian government, Mr. Dayo Apata, was reportedly having a meeting with the Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo and subsequently unable to make it to the court session.

The applicant, Kanu had approached the court through his lawyer, Mr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor, with a motion against the Nigerian government on alleged violation of his rights and demanded an order of the ECOWAS Court for compensation of the sum of $800million as damages for the alleged violation.

The matter had been adjourned for hearing of the substantive suit and inclusion of fresh motions by Ejiofor for yesterday, but was further adjourned following the inability of the government counsel to attend the hearing.
A counsel representing the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) at the court, Abdullahi Abubakar asked for stand-down of the case which the court granted to enable government lawyer to be present in court.
Abubakar’s request was predicated on the grounds that the Nigerian government lawyer was at the Supreme Court for a different matter and asked for a short postponement of the hearing.

Following Abubakar’s application, the case was stood down for two hours.
However, when the court resumed session on the matter, Abubakar again approached the court with another request for an adjournment on the ground that the government lawyer, Dayo Apata, who is also the Solicitor-General of the Federation, was having a meeting with the vice president.

Abubakar further told the court that his team had not gotten some of the documents from a previous ruling in the ECOWAS Court.
Responding however, Ejiofor accused the Nigerian government of ‘deliberately delaying the matter’.
Ejiofor asked the court to compel the respondent to pay a cost of N2million for what he described as deliberate frustration of the matter.

Reacting to the submission of Ejiofor, Abubakar said the previous adjournment on the matter was not at the instance of the government but based on a request from the court.
The three-member panel led by Justice Hemeye Mahdmadane consented to the submissions of Abubakar regarding the facts resulting in the last adjournment.

The court also adjourned the matter till November 21, for hearing of all the applications and determination of Ejiofor’s motion for award of cost against the respondents.
Reacting to questions from journalists as to the reason for his client’s absence in court, Ejiofor reiterated his earlier stance that ‘only the Nigerian army can speak on Kanu’s current location.
"The military and federal government are in a position to tell me where my client is. We are going to settle it in court," he said.

Kanu has not been seen in public, since September 14, after Ejiofor accused the Nigerian army of invading his client’s residence and ‘possibly killing or abducting Kanu’.
Kanu is facing trial for alleged treasonable offenses.
His group, the IPOB has been proscribed and declared as a terrorist group by the Federal High Court.</ins>

Obi said that due to the bad state of the road the traders and motorists plying the area had experienced a setback in their businesses. For some years now, customers find it difficult to drive into the market to patronize the traders," he said. He said that Gov. Ugwuanyi had kept his campaign promises he made to traders in the state which included the construction of the road.

AmQuadri, Assar are good African ambassadors globally - ATTF

AmNigeria’s inflation rate to fall to single digit in mid 2018 - Emefiele

AmEvans arraigned for fresh murder charge

AmSerbia Courts Super Eagles For Friendly

AmDalung Re-opens National Stadium Swimming Pool today

AmArmy killed three Boko Haram insurgents in Borno

He also said the yam exported to the UK was not cleared by the agency as the cargo was not available for inspection by the NAQS at the point of take off.

It is scheduled to hold from November 18 - 23, 2017, at SPAN’s Agidigba Community Centre (workshops) at Muri Okunola Park and Eko Hotel it is a community, a haven for the unseen, a society enabling artists to soar beyond their wildest dreams. Boulous also said through its 12-year journey, "We have been recommended and recognised by several international bodies for transformation brought to the performing arts industry, especially in the area of education and presentation. SPANFEST initially kicked off as an annual festival, but presently runs bi-annually (once in two years). As part of plans to take the festival’s audience on a ‘journey of wonders,’ SPAN will bring together artistes to make ground-breaking presentations.

Mr. Thomas Quartey, the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, also tasked the media to play a critical role in the fight against corruption the country.</ins>

class="diffchange diffchange-inline">that two school pupils </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">one of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange Egbema council, but when our reporter arrived the community no soldier or army personnel was seen, but parents were hurriedly taking away </ins>their <ins class="diffchange safety</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Similarly, at the St. Mary’s School Amaifeke, in Orlu Council of the state, Mrs Ogechi Onumomu disclosed that the school authorities had to take the pupils upstairs </ins>for <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">protection following </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rumour that soldiers are forcefully immunizing children, saying however, that they did not see any personnel or </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">army as claimed.

However, </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">state government in a statement issued by Mr</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Sam Onwuemeodo, press secretary </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Governor Rochas Okorocha</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">said </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rumour that created anxiety in the state was false</ins>.

"<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The Imo State government has heard the unfounded rumour that monkey pox virus </ins>is <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">forcefully injected into school kids. This has created undue anxiety in Owerri, especially among some parents.

"The state government wants to inform Imo people in particular and the public </ins>that <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the Monkey Pox virus </ins>is <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">not </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Imo," he said.

In Enugu State, </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rumour was equally strong in the metropolis as parents </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">guardians of primary and secondary schools kids ran </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">their wards’ schools to make sure they were safe and not injected with suspected vaccine</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">

At the W</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">T.C Primary School, Ogui New-Layout Enugu, school children were seen clinging tightly to their parents that had come to pick them after they heard the rumor through the social media and phone calls.

</ins>The <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Headmistress of School 2 </ins>in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">complex who does not want her name on print said: </ins>"<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Nobody came to inoculate children and </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">noise and panic only lasted for a very short while and no army officer has been seen anywhere around the school premises</ins>.

"<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">As you </ins>can <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">see teaching </ins>is <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">going on in the classrooms and students are not allowed to leave the school premises without their parents," she said.

She assured </ins>that <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">normal school activities would continue as </ins>they <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">had called the Enugu North Education Secretary who confirmed to them </ins>that <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the story was just rumour</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">

Also at </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Urban Girls Secondary School Enugu, </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">principal said there was no vaccination taking place in her school</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">

"I started hearing noise from the neighbouring primary school, parents started arriving </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">banging the gate, I was afraid of stampede, so asked them to let the gate open to avoid parents harassing the staff," she said.

A civil defense officer at the school, Mr C.E.O Chima said immediately he got the signal he started coming, saying </ins>that <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">"the parents should not be blamed for their action as </ins>they <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">did that out of </ins>care <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">and concern </ins>for <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">their children because no parent will hear that their child is being poisoned and will not come</ins>."

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">It was the same situation </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the university city of Nsukka </ins>as <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">parents were seen rushing </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the primary schools to collect to their children and wards to avoid them being injected by the alleged fake immunization officers in military uniform</ins>.
<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">

By 11:00am parents </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">guardians had besieged the Modern Primary School, Nsukka, Township Primary School, among others to take their children </ins>back <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">home</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">One of the parents who identified herself as Mrs. Stella Ozioko told Daily Sun that her sister called her from Umuahia to rush </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">take her children home as some people said to be dressed in military uniform were going to primary schools and injecting them with dangerous vaccines.

"I am here to collect my two children based on </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">information flying. I don’t want to hear any story. I am taking them home</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">it’s better they stay at home alive than being injected to death by evil people </ins>who <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">dressed in military uniform </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">cover their real identity," she said</ins>.
<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">

At the Township Primary School, </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">parent who gave his name as Mr. Ben Ezema said he was in the market when one </ins>of <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">his family friends called him that he had just rushed to collect his children to avoid being injected to death.

"Immediately I closed my shop before I reached here many parents were already here to take their children to avoid being injected to death.

"I have taken my children </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">they will stay at home until I am convinced nobody is coming to inject them in school</ins>,<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">" he said.

Mrs. Cecilia Ugwuoke, a headmistress </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Modern Primary School 4, Nsukka, said she was surprised how the school compound was filled with parents within 30 minutes to take home </ins>their <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">children because of the rumour that some children have been injected to death in Owerri and Awka and also got into Nsukka town</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">"I tried my best to convince them that </ins>their <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">children were safe as we will not allow anybody to inject their children</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">but they insisted they want to take them home.

"We had to open a register </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">every class so </ins>that <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">parents will sign before taking their children; this is to ensure that evil people did not use the opportunity to pick children that are not theirs," she said.

Also some secondary schools like Urban Girls Secondary School </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Government’s Technical School Nsukka had their students rushed home as early as 12:30 pm because of the same rumour</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">When contacted, the Transition Caretaker Committee Chairman </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Nsukka LGA</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Chief Ejike Asadu said as result </ins>of the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rumour </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">panic he sent out his security men from the local government to the schools to monitor the situation</ins>.
<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">

"People are only panicking because of the rumour, we have not seen any immunization officer dressed </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">military uniforms.

"I urge parents </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">residents </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">remain calm as the council will not allow anybody to inject </ins>any <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">school children forcefully," he said.

However, </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Enugu State government through the Commissioner for Health, Dr</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Fintan Ekochin, also dismissed the rumour.

"Monkey Pox is a rare disease related closely to the common Chicken Pox. Abundant evidence shows it is a much milder disease compared with Chicken Pox.

"Citizens should go about their daily lives observing basic hygiene rules as regarding healthcare. Please there is no cause for alarm," </ins>he <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">said</ins>.

Despite this currency evolution, the ties </del>to <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">India remain strong </del>- <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">reflected in India being the number one source market for visitors to Dubai, as well as the plethora of amazing Indian restaurants dotted throughout the city. More recent connections between Dubai </del>and <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">India include </del>the <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">opening </del>of <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the world’s first Bollywood theme park on the outskirts of the city</del>.

<del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">• Dubai boasts </del>a <del class="diffchange diffchange-inline">record-breaking public transport system. The midfielder was rested </ins>for <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">the 7</ins>-<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">0 Champions League victory over Maribor but will return at Wembley</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">meaning that James Milner could </ins>well <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">miss out despite his impressive midweek performance</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Jurgen Klopp has </ins>never <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">won a competitive match at England’s national stadium, but the German insists that he is not thinking </ins>about <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">his record ahead of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">game on Sky Sports Premier League.</ins>
<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">

"We don’t feel bad when we see Wembley, it’s a good place </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">a wonderful stadium</ins>,<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">" he said</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">"And we never played against Tottenham there</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">so it’s nothing we are thinking about. We only think about the game and not where we play.
"I can say that the performance </ins>was <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">always really good. In the Champions League final [</ins>with <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Borussia Dortmund against Bayern Munich] the performance was really good</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">everybody who saw it knows that</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The Capital One Cup final against City was unlucky </ins>in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">penalty shootout at the end</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">that’s how things can happen</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">"</ins>

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">For Tottenham</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">they will be looking </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">build on their first Premier League win at their temporary home after beating Bournemouth 1</ins>-<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">0 last weekend </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">will be boosted by </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">midweek return </ins>of <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Danny Rose</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">The defender has been out for nine months with </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">knee injury but came off </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">bench towards </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">end of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">game against Real Madrid</ins>. <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Although he is unlikely </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">start at Wembley, he could be named among </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">substitutes and Mauricio Pochettino insists Rose is part </ins>of <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">his long term plans</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">"His mind is clear that what happened is </ins>in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">past </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">we need </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">move on. He is part of my plans. The past </ins>is in the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">past," the manager said</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">"In life they are young </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">they can mistakes but </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">most important thing is that they can learn from that. Fans want the best for the team </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Danny is our player. Our fans are fantastic </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">they show good love and that they care for our players</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">"</ins>

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Elsewhere for Liverpool</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Simon Mignolet will return in goal and Joe Gomez could come into defence as Jurgen Klopp continues </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">rotate his young full-backs</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">
Ben Davies has recovered from illness and Dele Alli is back after serving a Champions League suspension </ins>for <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Tottenham.

However, Mousa Dembele (hip) </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Victor Wanyama (knee) are both out while </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">game will also come too soon for Erik Lamela, who is close </ins>to <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">overcoming an injury to his hips</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">
After </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">run </ins>of <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">four wins and </ins>a <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">draw between 2010 </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">2012</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Spurs are winless in their last nine Premier League games against Liverpool (W0 D3 L6)</ins>.

<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Liverpool are unbeaten in their last four away league games against Spurs (W2 D2), conceding just one goal in that time </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">netting nine themselves</ins>.<ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">

There have been 140 goals scored </ins>in <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Premier League matches between Tottenham </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Liverpool</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">two goals shy of </ins>the <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">current record </ins>set <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">by both Everton/Man Utd </ins>and <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Chelsea/Tottenham (142).
After winning his first two meetings with Liverpool in March and September 2013 with Southampton</ins>, <ins class="diffchange diffchange-inline">Pochettino has failed to win any of his subsequent seven Premier League games against the Reds (D3 L4). Only against Chelsea (5) has he lost more Premier League games than versus Liverpool (4)</ins>.

Нова сторінка

Do you think you know everything about Dubai? Just think again. While the city is famous for its glamorous, luxurious lifestyle and numerous record-breaking feats, Dubai also boasts a fascinating history and culture, as well as its fair share of surprises.

Here are some real facts you never knew about the emirate:
• Before tourism and hospitality, Dubai made its money oil - that’s common knowledge. But before oil, Dubai was built on pearl diving, with more than 300 diving dhows and 7,000 hard-working sailors. To delve into this lesser-known past, head to Dubai’s Pearl Museum, home to one of the largest and finest collections of pearls in the world, donated by pearl merchant, Sultan Al Owais. On display are a whopping AED 500 million ($136,077,545 USD) worth of fine salt-water pearls.

• In the mid-1800s, the Indian rupee was the main currency in Dubai and the wider UAE, with the subsequent Gulf rupee introduced in 1957, eventually phasing out in 1966. Despite this currency evolution, the ties to India remain strong - reflected in India being the number one source market for visitors to Dubai, as well as the plethora of amazing Indian restaurants dotted throughout the city. More recent connections between Dubai and India include the opening of the world’s first Bollywood theme park on the outskirts of the city.

• Dubai boasts a record-breaking public transport system. According to Guinness World Records, the city’s metro is the longest driverless metroline in the world. And it’s getting longer everyday with new stops being added all the way out to the site of the upcoming Expo 2020 in Dubai.

• Less than 50 years ago in 1968, there were only 13 registered cars in Dubai. Now there are more than 1.5 million, mirroring the emirate’s meteoric growth from humble fishing and pearling settlement to what is now the fourth most visited city in the world.

• Contrary to popular belief, Dubai isn’t just a coastal city; it’s also home to a rugged mountainous exclave named Hatta, where visitors can hike and mountain bike through untouched nature in the Hajar Mountains, kayak through clear turquoise water at Hatta Dam, and explore picturesque date and bee farms.

• Emirati custom dictates that hosts offer their guests tea and dates, with the traditional way being to pour half a cup. The reason for this lies in the cups not having handles and the tea being piping hot - you wouldn’t want your guest to burn their fingers. If, however, the host pours a full cup of tea, it’s a subtle way of telling the guest that they have overstayed their welcome. To learn more and discover other intriguing customs, head to Dubai’s Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding.

• The UAE has a Minister of State for Tolerance and a Minister of State for Happiness. The country has endorsed a number of initiatives and projects in line with its National Happiness and Positivity Programme, which includes the set-up of happy and positivity offices, among other initiatives.
