Phoenix Dactylifera

Dates popularly known as dibino among the Hausa and botanically called phonex dacylifera is a fruit obtained from the date palm tree. The date palm tree is the oldest fruit bearing tree on earth. They are extensively produced and consumed in the Middle East, West Africa, and Asia and also in North Africa over the millennia. To confirm the field diagnosis, a laboratory must [https://www.greendiamond.co Rotab bam] isolate a Fusarium oxysporum-like fungus from the affected leaf tissue and then conduct a molecular test on the isolated culture to confirm it is f. sp. canariensis. Contact your local county Extension office or the Florida Extension Plant Diagnostic Clinic ( ) for complete details about correct sample submission procedures and cost of a laboratory diagnosis. The best tissue to send for a diagnosis is the petiole or rachis from a leaf exhibiting the typical symptoms of one-sided wilt. A dead leaf is not acceptable.

The date palm is a palm tree that produces very sweet fruits. It grows well in hot climates, often in an oasis in desert areas. Davall says his uncle couldn't afford to buy date cultivars from Algeria. So he obtained 250 seeds of wild dates from the U.S. [https://www.greendiamond.co/mazafati-dates-kimia/ Kimia Dates] Department of Agriculture, grew them out and selected the six most promising. He then grew those to fruition and settled on the two best, which Davall sells to this day as empress and honey dates. The honey is sweet and creamy, the empress chewier, with a caramel flavor.

One of my favorite uses for dates is in charoset. It's one of the components of the seder plate for Passover, so I really only eat it once a year, but I love it so much so I often contemplate making it just for kicks. My family has always made a version that doesn't include dates, but last year I experimented with my friends and included dates and it blew my mind.

I've heard of this. I never got the chance to try. All of my babies came 3-7 weeks early and labors were so fast that the dr didn't even make it in the room. My smallest baby was nine pounds even, and I can't imagine how big they would have been if they waited until 38+ weeks. I'd like to know how to prevent jaundice, I guess late pre term babies tend to suffer from jaundice.

Dates can be simply termed as a power pack of nutrients, despite their small size. One of the most interesting dates nutrition facts is that they are immensely rich in fiber and some of the crucial minerals like, potassium, calcium and magnesium. About 100 gm of dates can give 75 gm carbohydrates, 8gm dietary fiber, 2 gm proteins and 0.39 gm fats. In addition to these, dates are an excellent source of carotenoids, which are the precursor of vitamin A.100 gm of dates also contain about 10 IU vitamin A, 0.4 mg vitamin C, 2.7 mcg vitamin K, 0.05 mg vitamin E, 19 mcg folate, 0.05 mg thiamine, 0.066 mg riboflavin, 1.27 mg niacin and 0.165 mg vitamin B6. As far as the mineral content of dates are concerned, 100 gm of dates can provide you approximately 39 mg calcium, 656 mg potassium, 43 mg magnesium, 62 mg phosphorus, 2 mg sodium, 1 mg iron, 0.29 mg zinc, 0.2 mg copper, 0.26 mg manganese and 3 mcg selenium.

While this is an extraordinary measure, it is inexpensive disease prevention management for extremely valuable palms. A mature Canary Island date palm that has died from Fusarium wilt is expensive to remove and expensive to replace. It is certainly more economical to prevent the disease than deal with the deadly consequences, especially if there are [https://www.greendiamond.co Mazafati Bam] multiple Canary Island date palms in the landscape (Figure 6). Using a new pruning tool or disinfecting the pruning tool is inexpensive in comparison to a devastated landscape.

Just gave birth to my 3rd child 2 days ago and although i hate dates, i am now recommending it to everyone. 2 hour labours, pushed once, no time for epudural thats how quick things went. I went in for a regular check up ( 1 week prior to due date) and was also told how soft my cervix was. Never heard that comment with the others. At 3 pm i was 2cm, 3:30 first contractions, 5 pm delivering. I ate 4 dates a day from week 36 and am truly thankful.

I am new to this way of eating, vegetarian, vegan…learning and loving my new choices! While I've never eaten a date I would love to try them. If I won I would make your receipes and try them out and share them with my kids and grandkids! I already have my son doing green smoothies every morning! My son who as a child would not eat anything green. I used to find peas smeared on his jeans….and green beans in the plants and in cabinets……lol..he just refused to eat vegetables. Today he had spinach, kale, carrots, strawberries and mangoes in a smoothie!

The reduced availability of water represents an enormous environmental problem, but is also a serious political and social issue. Most of the areas with available water have been occupied by [https://www.greendiamond.co/mazafati-dates-kimia/ Mazafati Dates] Israel. We were told that by law every Palestinian can access one-sixth the water of an Israeli and that they pay four times as much for it.

Small, semi-soft deglet noors account for approximately 95 percent of the dates sold in America. A 3.5-ounce serving of pitted deglet noors, or 14 dates, provides about 282 calories, 2.5 grams of protein, less than half a gram of fat and 75 grams of carbohydrates, of which nearly 63.4 grams are the simple sugars sucrose, fructose and glucose. Per 3.5-ounce serving, or about 4 pitted dates, the larger, meatier semi-soft medjool variety supplies 277 calories, 1.8 grams of protein, very little fat and 75 grams of carbohydrates, of which 66.5 grams are mostly the simple sugars glucose and fructose.
