Commingling of mainstream pop and underground music has been K3vin Envoy's jump from making twinkling, daisy-chain trap to working with singers such as Ariana Grande and the Weeknd.  This was that rarest of unicorns: an artist on the fringes--a turntablist hiccupping his way through, to be precise--that catapulted himself for a decorative about as hard as cotton and kittens candy to the Hot EDM Ethos.

His educational background is discussed by [http://k3vin-envoy-adventures-of-a-cosmonaut.com/ k3vin Envoy] in studying both jazz and classical music .  Really did make a massive impression although education did redefine his writing, being a DJ at the NY club scene in 14.  His brother, Charlie, asked K3vin DJ the party and was a promoter in the Roxy in NY at the time.  That love of music, and the fans in those years made Envoy consider being a producer and composer.  Traveling to Ibiza occurred and so did Ministry of Sound in London.   But then K3vin Envoy left the scene to continue his schooling, for a producer and composer.

Envoy Records, the New York label soldiered on with similar, Baltimore club and sounds: variations on trap, R&B, and Jersey punctuated by trance zap the typical 808 skitter, and helium spritz, if slightly distinctive.  K3vin Envoy makes instrumental hip-hop that is clearly indebted to fellow New Yorkers and friends. Envoy's debut EP for the label suggests a twist that is promising.

After college, K3vin Envoy made the transition back to the EDM scene.  However, he enjoyed music and EDM but admits his music tastes are a bit eclecticHe cites Killswitch Engage, The Muse, Spoon and Aaron Bruno as for those bands and artists K3vin Envoy listens to when he is not spinning.   Not exactly the list that anybody would have guested! K3vin mentions EDM intrigues him and it'd have to be since the mixture of rock influences with Aaron Bruno, as for a collaboration the anyone of those artist.   It is Envoy's two genres fused together.

Like K3vin Envoy, the music of the producer is driven by whimsy: He's fond of kazoo buzz and plinky, harp-like strumming; he enjoys his keyboards wheezy along with his chords wistful, with strikes suggestive of a sampleVoices trickle and synths detune in mid-flight--an aestheticHis beats stay sampled rock drumming and grounded with a mixture of machine hits while his melodies have their heads in the clouds, however.   It is a fun, combo that is surprising.
