A Non Government Organization is registered as a Trust under Indian Trust Act 1882. A Trust is useful at the point that a member of the family can also belong to Trust. Generally, those who want to include household members as well in trust can use for trust registration.

An NGO's constitution must prohibit the organization from distributing funds to members and officials other than for legitimate reimbursement of expenses incurred in carrying out the organization's objectives (NGO Coordination Regulations Second Schedule.The documents must also stipulate rules for awarding contracts to members or officials ( NGO Coordination Regulations Second Schedule .However, the law does not specify particular language for these clauses.
