It's really no doubt that music production in Kenya has exploded tremendously. Unlike before when there were few production houses in the united kingdom, these day there are many production studios and several highly talented producers who have show up over time.


Noisy . 90s, the Sell The Best Kenyan Music was at a very low point. This was as a result of diminishing sales and competition from pirates. Presence of the pirates meant as a singer you couldn't get a money back from your recorded music. This discouraged lots of people from recording and as a result just a few songs were produced. In the mid-90s, numerous factors came about and altered the Kenyan music scene. One of the primary factors that caused the changes may be the take off of commercial FM radio stations. Since the radio stations came up, there were sought after demand for high quality songs. Initially, these stereo played a good amount of western music for example reggae, raga, hip-hop, dancehall, and American R&B. As people got shown the western culture, music production studios needed to think of new techniques and tools that would permit them to produce songs that were of the same quality as those produced in western countries. To get this done, the background music producers was required to utilize computers, software, mixing boards as well as other tools. Introduction of the tools made music production cheaper along with the music produced was of top quality. The majority of the music produced currently was packaged in cassettes nevertheless, there was an audio track which was packaged in CDs. As technology developed, multi-track layering took over as the tool with the new type of independent producers who have been recording right to computer computer drives for guitars, drum machines, keyboards and other synthesized sounds.
