Overview

The 2nd Annual Longport Take A Breather 5k Run is a race for runners looking for something slightly different from the traditional road race. It is a 5k Out & Back on the beach and occurs when the tide is low, which means you will not be running on soft sand, but on hard packed sand similar to a dirt trail.

CASH PRIZES awarded to the top 3 Male & Female Finishers.

Medals awarded to top [local 5k runs http://www.longportrun.org/localruns.php] & Female age group winners.

5k out-and-back course on hard packed sand. Low tide is 5:05pm

Electronic chip timing

Custom Designed T-Shirts to first 200 entrants. Register Early!

Shoes are optional

ONLINE REGISTRATION for the Longport Take A Breather 5k Beach Run opens March 1st.

Registration Fee: $25 until July 31st, $30 thereafter.

Shirt & Bib number – available for pick-up on Saturday August 6th at Beach Patrol Headquarters.

Saturday August 6th:

4:30 PM Registration & Packet Pick-up at Beach Patrol Headquarters (Atlantic Ave. & S. 33rd Ave., Longport NJ 08403)

6:00 PM Beach closes. Arrive before 6 if you want to park close to the start.

6:30 PM Start of 5k race (Starting line is on beach at Atlantic Ave. & S. 33rd Ave., Longport, NJ 08403)
