There are very few things in the world that could change the status of a person. Marriage is one of those events because marriage is something that all people around the world are bound to observe even if those same people were not even aware of the marriage. Thus, it is also important that the dissolution of the marriage should affect the whole world, and this the reason why there must be proper records of the divorce. These records are what is known as divorce records, and an example of the same would be Stanislaus County Divorce Records.

There are only two things that could dissolve a marriage, death and divorce. The first terminates the marriage because death terminates the civil personality of a person, and such is a primary and important requirement of marriage. Divorce does not terminate the civil personality of the person, it merely changes the civil status of the parties who divorce, from marriage, back to single. This transformation of civil status would affect some rights, duties, and obligations that are given to the parties by the marriage. Some of these rights and duties would be terminated, while some other rights and duties would be restored upon the parties who had been married and whose marriage had been terminated by divorce.

Now, copies of divorce records in California are closed records, which mean that they are not available to the Stanislaus County Divorce Records Check Out public at all times. This classification, however, is only true for certified true copies of divorce records. These kinds of divorce records may only be accessed by persons who are included in an exclusive list provided for by law. If a person is not in the list, then he or she could not request the certified true copies, but he or she may request for informational copies. Note that the two types contain the same information; it is just that informational copies are just informational and could not actually be used in official proceedings since only certified true copies of divorce records may be used.

To obtain copies of either a certified true copy or an informational copy of a divorce record, the person interested should first obtain the necessary request form. Note that the request form for an informational copy is not the same as the request form for a certified true copy, and neither could be used to request for the other. Once the form is downloaded and accomplished, the next step would be to send it to the office, though note that a request for a certified true copy would require that the request form be notarized. The request form must also be accompanied by a money order or personal check to answer for the required fee when the same is sent to the office. The required fee is fourteen dollars.
