Non-parametric methods (two-sided Wilcoxon rank sum test or Fisher's exact test) were used to test for differences in demographic characteristics, vital signs at baseline, and analyte concentrations between patients with diabetes and non-diabetic control subjects, for differences in vitamin B12 parameters between patients with and without metformin therapy, and for differences in PLP levels between men and women. Pearson's correlation analysis was performed between PLP and age, BMI, and body weight. Statistical analyses were performed using the software SAS? for Windows 9.3.1 (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA). A total of 174 participants, i.e. patients with flupentixol type 2 diabetes mellitus with and without microalbuminuria and non-diabetic control subjects, were enrolled in this study. Alcohol consumption was more Lapatinib research buy frequent in the control group than in the groups with type 2 diabetes (p??0.05; Table 2). Other markers of lipid metabolism were within normal reference ranges in all groups; however, triglyceride levels were higher (p?
