At the end of the experiment, we presented all 12 stimuli associated with the different trial types, separately for the flanker and Stroop task, and asked participants to rate how difficult �C on average �C it appeared to them to respond quickly and accurately to the respective trial when that stimulus was presented in the two task blocks of the task they did before.
