The courts are also responsible to give out the certified copies of the documents to any member of the Santa Barbara County Recorder public who requests for them. The Office of Vital Statistics of the California Department of Health is the one responsible for the maintenance and preservation of the documents.

The documents can be ordered by heading directly to the Superior Courts or by sending a mail to them. Certified copies are charged $13 each copy, with an additional $7 fee if you want them faxed.
