1. You can appear like anyone

Character creation choices in PSO2 are endless. You have a choice of three races—humans, newmans, and casts (a.k.a. Gundam)—and you adjust every thing down to the perkiness of their breasts or the width of their metal thighs. There are about ten regular character models to choose from and whilst some are your common kawaii anime characters, others look fairly badass. Strong Snake or Wonder Lady, anyone? two. But you will always act like a kawaii Japanese youth

Unfortunately, in spite of the varied cosmetic options, the game’s story is such that you will usually be a new recruit surrounded by other archetypal characters from a Japanese anime. And you will react the way you are supposed to. A hulking old dude with a head of white hair holding his hands up in a pacifying manner? Yeah, I cringed as well.

three. Game content material will be released in parts

Content material in PSO2 is comes in episodes. The game we will play on Asiasoft’s servers only has content material from episode 1, whilst the Japanese server from SEGA is up to episode 2. Future content will not be released in episodes, although they’ll be released in parts of episodes, so be prepared for a long, grindy wait. 4. It utilizes a quest hub and instancing system

Speaking of grinding, there’s a lot of that to do in PSO2. The game revolves around a two-storey quest hub and an endless number of instanced quests. Not powerful sufficient to take on the subsequent quest? Grind it out until you level up. However there are client, or NPC, quests scattered through the hub to make your grinding a little less thoughts-numbing.

5. It’s an action RPG with two camera views

You must be wondering now how PSO2 plays. It’s an action RPG, in that there’s a lot of button-spamming, combos, and jumping around. Characters will be in a position to switch from fixed to totally free camera views and swap weapon types on the fly. There is a crosshair in the fixed camera view, whilst the totally free camera view enables you to lock onto targets at will. 6. You have to pay to revive in the field

This is less appalling than it seems. Because PSO2 will be a totally free-to-play MMORPG, it has got to cover expenses somehow. When you die, you can revive at the start of the mission or be revived by a friend for free. The only time you have to spend to revive is if you want to revive where you died. What is truly disappointing is the next point. 7. There is only one free character slot per account

If you want to have more than 1 character, you have to spend for another character slot. Apparently this is the norm with the Japanese server as well. Do not get angry just yet, although. PSO2 kind of compensated for this prior to you even thought about it.
