Quetzaltenango is the second largest city, located in the highlands of Guatemala, located about 3 hours from the Guatemala City airport. Volunteers working on the medical project can get hands on experience working with local doctors and nurses in small local clinics for the poor, providing check-ups and basic medical care in poor communities and at orphanages.
