Hello, I am working as a Research Student in one of the prestigious universities in Texas. My main area of study is on whether household work should be considered as paid work or not. I have been living a very simple life but I want to break the walls under which the stereotypical society wants to keep us (the women) in. Since very long we have seen that the society considers women as a household object. We aren't supposed to step out and do whatever we want. Or if we choose to stay at home and be a homemaker it is considered that we are good for nothing and cannot excel in our lives. But the point that I have realized is, if a woman is a homemaker than her work should be recognized and on the contrary if she is both a working woman and is also asked to look after the house, she should be paid as per that. It might sound strange, but recognizing her efforts is really important. If you think, you can be the part of the culture I think of, feel free to get in touch soon.
