""Patients with post-thrombotic iliocaval obstruction may have previously been protected from developing pulmonary embolism by insertion of an inferior vena cava (IVC) filter. The aim was to study the stent-related outcome in patients stented across an obstructed IVC filter. From 1999 to 2009, 554 limbs underwent stenting for post-thrombotic iliocaval outflow obstruction, including recanalization of occlusion in 86 limbs.
