Overall, EAI and CAS strains caused more extrapulmonary TB (total P/E ratio 0.5 and 0.6, respectively), but this was nearly solely traceable to the high proportion of African and Asian-born patients with extrapulmonary manifestations (EAI:P/E ratio 0.4 for Africa and Asia; CAS:P/E ratio 0.3 for Africa).
